nahah

I have been thinking about my video a lot. The biggest problem it so make a point in under 5 minuttes that is relevant to what i work on, without beeing so spesific that only people who read the user manual to the video gets it.

So new idea:

there is three outcommes that comes to mind when a author meets remixes. First is that the remix replace and out shines the original work (pherhaps the obama poster could work as an exsample?) This is the worst and most feared outcomme.

Then there is the original work and the remix live side by side, perhaps refering to eachother, but both known for their unique poit of view. The remix enhances the original work and the other way around. Lik the mona lisa and the manksy of the bansky mona lisa. Or others of the million remixes of the mona lisa. This must be the dream of an author? the original work strengthen by the remix.

Then there is that remix redefines the original work.
Lik the buffy / edward remix. How can i now view twiligth (or buffy) without this in mind? or the remix of Hitler. This migth ad something to a work that in the beginning was not very significant. Like the numanuma, or the boy who likes turtles. So this is both good and bad from an authors point of view?

I migth mention that most remixes does not matter at all. Fanart only a few ever views. Never really make any lasting impressions on anyone.

  1. Sounds like a good way of organising your thinking. Remember to work on your PAPER first though! You need to do the research before you can work out how to popularise your ideas in the video.
