My video
This is my video for the DIKULT303 class @univeristy of Bergen, Norway.
This is my first complete video ever. I have never done anything like this before, so i had to learn a completely new tool, and understand what videos are made of. Tracks, sound tracks, timing, formats and much more.
The message i want to communicate has been relatively clear to me all the way. But the examples has changed a bit. The last time around because i wanted to have some independent examples, not just things already used in class.
I also had to do some reflections on who my audience will be. My target audience should be friends and strangers who haven’t taken the DIKULT204/303 class. I want people to understand something about remixes, people who is new to the idea of remix in an educational setting. I also wanted them to be able to see the video for entertainment, making the theory less dominant.
Videos are very much a multimedia experience. A lot of the videos i have seen make use of the soundtrack to keep the viewer interested. The sound has a support function. This also i think enhances the entertaining feel to it, making the transitions between the fun examples and the pictures with theory less apparent.
Edit:
The video and my assignment gave me an A in DIKULT303. In norway this is as good as it gets. And i’m very happy with my own work. Will publish my own assignment online later on.
